Where might KELPs work?
Environmental Labourers will be employable in any occupation that requires manual work and includes waste management. The work placement is based in London.
Why are KELPs employed?

- High awareness of environmental issues on site
- Pre-selected and trained by industry professionals
- Enthusiastic, reliable and keen workers
What happens at the end of the placement?
At the end of the 26 weeks the Fixed Term Contract and support programme finishes. During the programme Kotuku work with employers to bring out the best in their employees and encourage continued permanent employment.
Who is supporting this project?
Kotuku CIC developed this project using their construction and environmental training knowledge. Grant support has been obtained from the Big Lottery Fund.
When can KELPs start work?
KELPs are ready to start employment once they have received their CSCS Labourers Green Card.
What does it cost?
There are no costs to trainees or fees to employers.
