How to write and manage a site waste management plan

An IEMA certified one day training course
Run by Kotuku at Powerday’s new Old Oak materials recycling facility

Site Waste Management Plans have been a legal requirement for construction projects with a value over £300,000 since April 2008. This course is for those involved in the procurement and delivery of construction works to help you understand and manage your new roles and responsibilities. Not only covering legal compliance, it will also show you how maximise the benefit to your company, your clients and the environment from using site waste management plans. All attendees receive a CPD certificate and a plan template.

Venue

Powerday’s unique training room at the heart of their new Old Oak materials recycling facility is an exciting and relevant base for the day. Waste theory in the room will be matched by action outside it as you see 100% recovery from construction waste. A guided tour is included in the day.

By attending this course you will:

  • Understand why environmental issues have become so important in construction
  • Know how to manage construction waste in accordance with the law
  • Select practical measures to improve your resource efficiency
  • Know the key environmental legislation governing sustainable waste management
  • Be fully aware of the details of a Site Waste Management Plan
  • Be equipped to write and manage a Site Waste Management Plan
